Behind every successful championship stands a team of dedicated volunteers. At the FISU World University Championship Futsal in Warsaw, volunteers are much more than event staff; they are the first faces athletes and officials meet, helping create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the tournament.
Volunteering is a unique opportunity to discover a new city and experience different cultures. Working alongside participants from across the world allows volunteers to learn about different customs, exchange ideas and build friendships that often continue long after the championship is over.
The experience also opens doors professionally. Whether you are working in sports management, media, accreditation, or event organisation, volunteers gain practical skills. It is a chance to see what behind the scenes of a big tournament looks like.

What makes university sport unique is the strong sense of community. Many volunteers return to university events every year, reconnecting with other volunteers while welcoming new members to the team. Competitions like this become places where friendships, international connections and valuable professional networks are built.
