There is less and less time left before the start of the FISU World University Championship Futsal. The teams are gradually turning their attention to their first group matches, whilst fans are deciding which games to attend. Tickets are available at ebilet.pl
From 1 to 7 July, Warsaw will host this year’s biggest academic sporting event in Poland. Ten women’s and 16 men’s teams from 18 countries will compete on the banks of the Vistula river. The group line-ups have already been announced, and the individual teams are gradually revealing their line-ups by announcing their squads. Among the tournament favourites are countries such as Brazil, Portugal and France, whilst the hosts – the Polish University Team – are also hoping for success. There is no shortage of teams less commonly associated with futsal, such as Cyprus and Costa Rica, who will be keen to put on a good show. It certainly promises to be a high-quality tournament, with plenty of goals and excitement.
The men’s tournament will feature as many as 48 matches, and the women’s tournament 27. The matches will take place in three venues: OSiR Wlochy (Gładka 18 Street), OSiR Bemowo (Obroncow Tobruku 40 Street) and the Znicz Hall in Pruszkow (Bohaterow Warszawy Street). There will be plenty to choose from, as up to 12 matches will be played each day.
Tickets are available for the morning and afternoon sessions. By purchasing a ticket, fans have the chance to watch up to four matches of the World University Championships! Tickets for the group stage cost 22.90 PLN for adults. From the quarter-finals onwards, the price rises to 32.90 PLN, and up to 43.90 PLN for a package including both the women’s and men’s finals. Tickets for the entire tournament are free for children and young people under 18. Tickets are available at: https://www.ebilet.pl/sport/sporty-druzynowe/futsal
Participants in the World University Championships, players, coaches and support staff will be able to gain entry to other teams’ matches on presentation of their ID badges.
