– Volunteering is a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes at a major sporting event. You don’t necessarily have to be a fan of futsal, but I think people who like the sport will always find it easier to get involved. The most important thing is to be willing to get stuck in and be open to whatever the event has to offer. Volunteering is a great opportunity to develop your skills and learn how to work in a team. It’s a great adventure, and many people have started their professional careers this way. We also have applications from volunteers from other countries, so it’s a really interesting experience to work as a team. I believe that everyone will be able to gain something from this for the future – says Marianna Pikul from the University Sports Association of Poland, volunteer coordinator.
The World University Championship in women’s and men’s futsal will be held not only in Warsaw at the OSIR Bemowo hall, but also at the CAiLS Grodzisk Mazowiecki facility and the Znicz Pruszków hall. The organizers would like to see volunteers from these two cities join their ranks. Due to the length of the tournament, it is possible to apply for the volunteer program at shorter notice.
